From there, I'm going to write a literary analysis on stories such as these, focusing on the concept of good versus evil. Then I'm going to write my own short story from the perspective of Zahhak. And do you know how I should cite this? I absolutely will, because it's your work and you should get credit for it, but I'm just not sure how to do it since it's both online and in "The Dirty Goat." My translation (in the tradition of many other poets who use trots) is based primarily on two old and out of print translations, the one done by the Warner brothers in the 1920s--this is my primary source--and the one done by Ruben Levy in the 1970s. I used Dick Davis' translation as a kind of check in terms of accuracy, since he used more reliable manuscripts than either of the other two. For the purposes of your project, all else being equal, you should be able to use my translation. Just please credit its publication here and in <i>The Dirty Goat</i>, which is now in print. I've read the Dick Davis translation, but I can't find a printable version online and I left my copy of the Shahnameh at college over winter break.
